Im making my first real paid cake for Saturday. It will be a 10x2" double layer and a 8x2" double layer rounds with a 5"x4" square for the top tier. I am needing to feed 60 will this do it?

So, all your cakes will end up being 4 inches tall?

And do you mean a 6" top tier??? Or will you be cutting down the top to 5 inches?

A 10' will feed about 24, an 8" will feed around 16, and a 5", about 6. That's in party sizes, wedding servings are a little smaller. But also, remember that some people may not eat cake. (I don't know why, but some people are weird that way!)

There are some really good serving charts on CC. Look in the articles, I think. I like the one by Indydebbi

I usually use the Wilton Guide for cake cutting. According to this guide your 10" double layer round cake should yield 38 servings, your 8" double layer round 24 servings and your 5" double layer square about 15. HTH
