guys, i am sure this has been asked before, but i searched and couldn't find the answer...

when i try to upload some of my pics, it tells me the file is too large. how do i resize the file so that i can upload?

any help would be great, i am a computer "un"nerd

You can resize your pictures in whatever photo editor is on your computer. I have two on mine. One is the Microsoft Office editor and one is the Windows editor. For instance, when you download a picture from your camera to your computer and then open it, there is usually an icon to edit your photo. In Microsoft Office, you click on edit picture, resize and then either type in the pixel size you want, or use the % to scroll down to around 700 x (the second number will fill in automatically to keep the photo in proportion). Click ok and it will resize the photo. I hope this makes sense.

You can also resize your photos using the program from your camera.
I use about
800pix for photos
600pix for forums
110 pix for avatars
