Ok. I went ahead bought another 10X2" round cake pan and now my question is can I bake both the cakes together ...at the same time in the oven???

If yes, Should I keepboth pans on the middle rack or should I put one on top and another at the bottom??

Please advice.

Thanks in advance.

I always try to keep mine at the same level if possible.....if you can fit both on the same rack then do that just make sure they have at least an inch or two between the two pans and the sides of the oven

I just baked two 10 inch cakes at the same time yesterday. I did them on the same rack and tried to keep atleast an inch between pans and sides of oven. I noticed that every time I do more than one larger cake at the same time it tends to take longer to bake and ends up too brown on the outside. Oh yes and I use the magi strips. I know I'm not really helping much but I keep promising myself to be more patient and bake them separately.
