Would you ever use any other flavored yogurt in your cake extender or just vanilla? Like if you were making a cherry, strawberry, lemon, orange,or some other flavor cake would you use a similar flavored yogurt in the extender?

I don't see why it would hurt. You can always make a trial run and see if it works.

I made a lemon cake w/ lemon yogurt. I wasn't following the cake extender, my sister asked me to not use anything but yogurt to make the cake, she's vegetarian(I forget the exact name type, ova/ovo?). It was very, very good. I think you can also mix and match. i.e. chocolate cake w/ raspberry yougurt. Gives it a hint of something else.
