So far, it has to be chocolate cake with chocolate hazelnut mousse filling. Yummy!

I don't really have a favorite, but I like to do different things. Right now, I'm enjoying doing an orange cake with champagne flavored icing. It's a fun combination and has a nice, light flavor.

Rose Levy Beranbaum's buttercream cake with a chocolate ganache frosting and filling. The entire thing seems to melt in your mouth. I just sold one to my cousin.

I have 2 fillings I like, both with chocolate cake. Nutella and ganache with a thin layer of raspberry jam on top, my big problem is deciding which to do.

I may be a little sentimental, but I will always remember the best as my great-grandmother's coconut cake filled with lemon curd topped w/7 minute frosting and fresh grated coconut. It was nothing fancy, but it was awesome and she always made it for me, it always made me feel so special. Nothing can beat it for me, not EVER.

My favorite is white cake with added lemon, lemon cream filling topped with fresh raspberries and lemon cream cheese frosting.

Also, the best chocolate cake ever with oreo cookie filling and whipped buttercream.

Chocolate cake with caramel filling and chocolate ganache.

Or white (vanilla/caramel creamer added) cake with caramel and buttercream.

Both yummy!

Chocolate cake with raspberry filling and almond/vanilla BC. Chocolate cake with a mint BC filling and chocolate frosting is a close second. (If it isn't chocolate, it isn't dessert!)

I don't really have favorites, but I have to say that the lemon poppy seed cake I made with raspberry filling was truly delicious.

GeminiRJ - I'm with you! Chocolate is the only thing for me. I've had others that were good, but chocolate w/dark chocolate bc is my favorite. (& I would probably top it with chocolate ice cream, too!)

I'm a big fan of yellow cake and recently I made it with a choc ganache filling and raspberry mousse on top of the ganache. It was really yummy! I also loved my wedding cake, the cakes were choc cake and choc cake with mocha fudge and bailey's mousse for the fillings. Very yummy!

Would choc ganache be okay for a white caramel cake? Anyone??? I want to make a white caramel cake but not sure what filling to use.
