Hello all, I know I have already posted once this weekend wanting feedback, but I have just done another one of my trial runs and I am having trouble. icon_cry.gif

This cake is a dummy. Its for my nieces 1st birthday. Originally I was going to do a secret garden but decided to go with something plain and simple. I loved the idea of using daisy chains, but I look at it and feel its too busy, and my daisy placement looks funny.

To me its all miss-matched. Please please can you give me pointers on a simple design. This is due on Saturday, it will be a two tier fruit cake 8inch and 6 inch.

Thank you (again!)

I think its very cute! I think that the color of the chain between the daisies might be making it look busy, maybe try another color? Its looks to me in the pic like the two green colors are clashing? HTH icon_cool.gif

i really think its pretty-love the daisies and your fondant is so smoootth

what about skipping the bottom borders -maybe and that would bring more focus on the daisies???

just a little simpler border - or the same one but in green???

the daisies are awsome and i like the placement

Maybe pink as the base and mint green for the daisy chain? I think maybe take the daisies out of the bottom tier border and just have the pearls?

Cakesunleashed icon_lol.gificon_lol.gificon_lol.gif I could make cakes till I am 305 years old and I'll never turn out your kind of cakes!!! But thanks for the compliment icon_lol.gificon_lol.gif

I think the strings would look good pink to pull in her hairbow and the ribbon on the package.

I think it looks great like it is but that would be simple to replace and just see how it looks.

I agree, the strings pink and omit the bottom border daisies. Beautiful cake. Great job!

Man you guys rock!

Oky, Stay with the green cakes....

Make the strings pink......

Take out the bottom daisies....

And maybe add more daisies to the chain so they look more 'daisy chainish'

Thank you thank you thank you
