I have a client that wants me to make a star trek themed cake. They want me to turn the following picture into a cake with the stand and everything. Any great ideas on how this can be done? It would probably be cake on the bottom large square only and styrofoam on the other 2.

i did a quick search nd there are a couple of sites that claim to offer instructions for building the frames. Assuming you have or know someone who has woodworking skill, that would be my suggestion. The cake themselves would be easy - Just square cakes laid on the appropriate boards. Make sure you add the cost of contructing the stand into your cost - this isn't something you be likely to need again.
