I ordered some SatinIce fondant the other day and couldn't resist the pre-made rolled fondant ribbon. It's about 2" wide with a scroll pattern.

Just curious if anyone has used it and if there are any photos that I could look at using the ribbon?

Thanks icon_smile.gif

I used the scroll pattern myself on a wedding cake last summer. Use it right away, it dries out pretty quickly. You also have to handle it very gently. I made the bows with a roller..you cannot soften the ribbon any or it cracks. A hint for you: I placed the ribbon around the cake first, and then dipped a brush in vodka and little by little glued it in place. (that is, I didn;t remove it once I placed it)

Here is a top of a cake I used it on.

One other thing:

The ribbon wasn't exactly as white as I would have liked - more of an ivory color. Does it "whiten" as it drys?

No it doesnt! What I did was dusted the entire cake in a pearl white, and it made it all much more even.

Sure, you can keep any photo! Good luck with you cake! You need to post it when it is completed!
