This lady showed up today to pick up a cake for an order I never got. Her sister was suppose to order a cake for this lady's dd 2 weeks ago. It was suppose to be her present to the little one. She was so upset but there was nothing I could do. I had 2 orders due today and a castle cake due tomorrow. I felt so bad. She said that I'm the only one they will order cakes from because my are and I quote "out of this world". She ended up ordering a baby shower cake for 2 weeks from now and her friend paid a $200. deposit to reserve a day in July for her wedding. icon_biggrin.gif. I told her I would give her a discount on the baby shower cake but she said no way, it wasn't my fault that her sister was senile at 26. Then the lady showed up for the last minute order ( I took it last night) for spongebobs house(it's in my pics) and cried. She said she was speechless, that it was way beyond what she expected, especially for less than 24 hour notice. She ended up giving me $25.00 over what I charged her. What a confidence booster today was. icon_lol.gif Thanks for looking

It is wonderful to hear a story about extra nice, understanding people, too often we hear most about the other kind.

Good for you! Janice

What a wonderful and kind thing for her to do.

We can all use those "confidence" boosters from time to time.

Congratulations - your cake must have been fantastic!

jo_ann,

Thanks for sharing such a nice story - what a pleasant change of pace.

I was expecting to hear a horror story about a PITA customer from hades.

So refreshing to hear that there are still considerate and generous people in the world (beside us, of course)!

Whatever you're doing - keep doing it, cause it's working!!!!!

I love the comment about senile at 26! And how cool is that that she ordered 2 more cakes from you. WONDERFUL.

You have some wonderfully loyal customers. What a blessing!
