I had a banana nut cake in the freezer that I took out last night so I could have fun playing with it today. It wasn't going to anyone. Just one for fun. Oh and to eat! icon_lol.gif

Well I filled it and iced it with Cream Cheese icing that I tinted a pale pink. The color came out perfect. I used the roller to smooth out the icing and it looked darn near perfect. I was so happy.

Then I decided to use some chocolate ganache to make swirls since I've never made a cake with swirls on it.

That is where the problems begain. The ganache was a bit to runny and so my swirls came out very bad looking. On the sides they would break and fall off a bit. I tired to get them off with a toothpick but it left the chocolate mark.

Oh well, I guess at least I learned something. Even though it didn't look that great it sure did taste good! icon_biggrin.gif

I'm just happy it wasn't a cake that was going to go to someone other then me.
