Need to bake this the weekend!
How can I colour my MMF red and black?
I only have a small bottle of red gel colour (spectrum) and a small bottle of black powder colouring?
I'm gona start by making pink and chocolate MMF, but isn't there anything I can do to make it red and black enough without it getting bitter? or ending up pink and brown...

This is also the first topsy turvy cake I'll be making or a tiered cake and I'm sooo afraid its gona fall over? I'm just gona insert dowels.

(I can't buy anything else as its not available where I live)

Relax!! Your plan of starting with pink and chocolate MMF is fine. Just remember that darker colors take time to mature. Color your MMF the night before you need it. That way, the color develops into what you need. I normally color my MMF, let it rest for an hour, add more color if it's still not the right shade. You'll be fine. Goodluck and don't forget to post a pic.

BTW, Welcome to Cake Central! icon_biggrin.gif
