I don't know how many people place ads on Craigs List, but I did and boy was I shocked what happened today. I love Craigs List in the last week I sold a tractor and a moped, so it is a valuable free advertising tool. I placed an ad on Craigs List for cakes and cookie bouquets. It had been there since Sept 2. Today I opened my email expecting to find an order, but I found some loon stating "quit flagging my posts B#$@H or I will flag all your F#@&ing posts". First of all I didn't flag anything, nor do I know HOW to flag a post, or would I even want to. Competition doesn't bother me and quite frankly I don't look at Craigs List postings as competition because I own my own bakery, and I was just looking to generate a little more jingle for my pockets with the ad. I felt so violated and nervous about this (people are loons and I don't want to have a confrontation over a 2 years olds birthday cake).
Has anyone else had this problem with Craigs List? I am ready to pull my post. I don't need this
.
I only have my email posted on it. I looked and I didn't really see a way to report it to Craigs List. Being that it is a free service, I don't think they would do too much, or even if they could do anything because you don't need an account to send emails to people with posts. People can change emails like they change underware. That is the problem they are cowards hiding behind an email. I doubt that it was a case of mistaken identity because I have spoke with another decorater that is getting harrassed in the same way from the same person. We assume that it is someone that makes cakes, posts on Craigs List, and is afraid of some local competition. We are trying to narrow down the posts to figure out who it is.
