How do you all care for your cutters?

What do you do to clean them after using?

Do you all have the expensive copper cutters or do you use the other, less expensive ones?

I use the wilton cutters mainly, and I just wash with soap and water and dry well and store in a big container. I guess I never thought there could be a special way. I will have to watch this post too and see if i am doing it right? icon_smile.gif

I have mostly the "cheapie" cutters, the silver metal ones, and they can rust if you leave them wet for too long.

I wash mine in hot soapy water by hand, using the large wilton tip cleaning brush to get into the small spaces, rinse well, towel dry, and then put them in a warm oven to make sure they're completely dry before I put them away.

Mine are mostly stored in an old wooden chest of drawers with shallow drawers. I wouldn't store them in an airtight container, just in case any moisture gets in, so they won't rust.

hth!
Laura.

I think the most important thing is to make sure the cutter is completely dry after it is washed.
