I was looking for brushes to use when painting my fondant with the edible shimmer dusts or just americicolor.

The only brushes I found in Michaels were Wilton in a package three and they were small and undefined. Can I use regular new unused painting brushes or are they toxic?

Yes, you can use the regular brushes. The only thing I have found is that the white bristle brushes seem to work better and won't shed. I try not to get the cheap ones because your piece will have little hairs all in it.

Good luck!

Regular brushes are fine. I also buy make up brushes as these are really good.
