Has anyone taken or know anyone who has taken an edible fruit arrangements class? Michael's was offering one for a while, but it was cancelled. I saw another one, but it was basically strawberries on a stick. Nothing to creative, there. I think one is coming up in Adult Ed in my area so if that one is not cancelled, I hope to take it. I was just wondering what others thought of it.

Here's a link to show how gorgeous these arrangements can be:

I haven't taken one of the classes, but I am surprised that there weren't more people interested in learning the craft. Those arrangements have gotten to be really popular. If you do end up taking one, can you post some feedback as to how good/bad it was? If it was offered near me, I'd be very interested in taking it.

The one that I found is not until November, so I'll give you some feedback then. I also see one that's sausage and cheese bouquets, so I may as well take that one as well.

Thanks for the link! I would love to learn how to do that. Classes are very limited here where I live though.

I haven't taken any classes but would be interested. I have tasted and seen one of the arrangements from the link above and they are gorgeous and yummy!

Adonisthegreek...where are you located? I'm interested in these classes, but can't find any in the Dallas area.

Adawndria, I'm in Michigan and the classes are offered through community education by the local school district. Try your local Michaels or Joann's. Maybe they will have some classes that didn't get cancelled. Try your school district's adult or community education also. Hope that helps.

Hi there,
Let me be the first to say that these arrangements are so fun to make. I wanted to give it at try myself shortly after seeing them for the 1st time. I found a whole kit which included the cutters, skewers and an instruction book at Big Lots for under $6!! It was just great. I also did a search online for fruit bouquets/edible arrangements and found more info on how to make them. They really are not hard at all. I posted a picture of one I made a long time ago but here it is again.

A lady from my cake club actually did a demo on how to make them at one of our meetings too. There are so many ways and techniques just like in cake decorating. It's a lot of fun!

KimAZ, thanks so much for the picture. You bouquet is beautiful. Now I am really anxious to take the class. Wow, I wish I could find a kit with cutters. I've searched online and haven't found anything, so I am hoping the class will give me a few secrets. Thanks again for posting the picture.

My daughter did some "holiday" temp work at one of the EA stores and from what she said, it isn't hard at all. I think they just have specific instructions for each arrangement with the appropriate cookie cutters, etc. They have you making arrangements shortly after arrival on your first day. I bet that with a few cutters, you could do it EASY. Especially by studying the arrangements on their website.

I will warn you, however. There is LOTS of waste with these arrangements. Be prepared to deal with the yummy leftovers. We were blessed with 30 pounds of pineapple scraps one day!
