OK, so I have a wedding Saturday that I'm making cookies for. This is my first time doing this so I'm nervous!

I'm going to bake Tuesday - then decorate Wednesday & Thursday. How do I store them prior to decorating them??

Then after their decorated, how do I store them so they won't get rock hard? Will an air-tight container suffice? These cookies are going to be on each table in the center out on platters, not wrapped individually like favors.

Any suggestions?? Should I push back the baking to Wednesday then decorate Thursday and Friday?

Thanks cookie experts.....

I would put the cookies in a Tupperware container and store in the fridge or freezer until I was ready to decorate. Once decorated, you could again store them in containers. One recent post put hers in containers, then used the halves of plastic Easter eggs scattered between the cookies. Cut a piece of cardboard to fit on top of the eggs, and stack more cookies. You can get a couple layers this way in the container, so you don't need to go into debt buying plastic containers! You shouldn't have to move up your schedule...the cookies will stay fresh for the timeline you're using.

Thanks so much, I'm so nervous considering I've never done this before and on top of that, I'm always nervous when I do anything for a wedding!

Thanks again.
