OKay, maybe not a maple frosting, maybe a maple filling? I found a great maple/nut frosting on here that I think would make a great filling, then just frost in buttercream or creamcheese frosting? Any thoughts?

Okay, I just went with it.. Found a recipe for cake, then a recipe for frosting last night, made it for friends & family.. It was DE-LISH!!! I was right.. maple w/ pumpkin goes together remarkably well. (Hubby wasn't convinced...to begin with, then after it cooked & he ate it.. well he was hooked. Serves him right for not trusting me huh?? icon_razz.gif)

I posted the recipe for the whole cake (frosting & all) here this morning.

kjackson,

Sounds extremely yummy. Sort of a variation on sweet potatoes and brown sugar....

Look forward to seeing the recipe in the Recipes section , after it gets approved.
