So I have been on a quest for raspberry filling. The first time I made some it soaked all into the cake and it was a disaster. I do remember though it did seem kind of runny. It was terrible, it was as if I had dumped a gallon of water on the cake. So since then I have been scared to do raspberry. So I ordered the sleeve filling. While I thought it was okay, I wanted something a little better. So I made this recipe and it seems pretty thick (like jelly/jam) and I even did a little sample piece and it seems like it isnt soaking into the cake. But I am using it with a white cake for an order, so I am a little nervous. Do you think it will be okay then? I dont really understand how to do the thin layer of BC on both sides (ie top) and get it on the cake?? and I really didnt want to do that.

It should be fine, but you can do a crumbcoat on the top of the bottom layer if you want to be sure.
