Hi everyone.

I have a brownie recipe that calls for 12 ounces of chopped semi sweet chocolate. I have 12 ounces of bittersweet chocolate that I can chop up OR I have 12 ounces of semi sweet chocolate chips. I always thought if the recipe didnt say chips then you shouldnt use them. Any suggestion on what I should use?

Thanks in advance

how do you incorporate them into the recipe? do you melt it down and add it? if so, you can use the chips.

The recipe has you melt the chocolate with the butter and cool. Then incorporate into eggs/sugar mixture, then add flour to finish up.

Thanks so much - I may go with the chips since they're easier then chopping icon_biggrin.gif and they're the right type of chocolate.
