This is a great post. I've often wondered where people came up with their names.
My name came from my children. My daughter's name is Megan and my son's name is Matthew....so mnm(meg and matt)mommy.
I try to change my avatar with whatever holiday is coming up. We are also Disney freaks so it's usually something Disney too.
been using "sweetviolet" for a long time .....however when i signed up for CC somehow I mistyped and added an L-so I became sweetvioLent-arg...
In the time it took me to type up and check the spelling in my post 6 more posts popped up. Sweetviolent I thought your name was some kind of dominatrix kind of thing LOL sorry

My name is a combo of my 3 kids names (kinda obvious I guess)
My Avatar is because my Daughter (Ruby) has Autism Spectrum Disorder and my Son (Lukas) has ADHD. "Celebrate Neurodiversity" instead of trying to "fix". I may change it soon, but I'm not sure I could find myself if I do, heheheh.
I'm all for medicines if they work, but acceptance of someone with a neurological disorder (Disorder...yuck, Diversity...better)and schooling that will accentuate the positive and help them to find creative ways to accomplish tasks is more for me. Instead of trying to fit a square peg into a round hole.
We all have little neurologically diverse things anyway...from OCD to depression to MS; little idiosyncracies that make us special (ie, twirling hair, biting nails...nervous habits)....and all people should be celebrated.

That's all I do. You can add different key words with it like Disney clip art, Thanksgiving clip art or maybe cake clip art. Basically, whatever your thing is. I just save mine to my computer and resize it until cc will accept the size.

I did it - my new Avatar is my dear little twin grandsons Adam and Drew. They also have a 5 yr old brother and 7 yr old sister. They are soooo sweet and will be 2 yrs. old in December. I followed the link on how to create and shrink pics. It worked - guess it's not so hard after all. Maybe I'll change it from time to time.

That is so sweet about your grandma... my grandma had a stroke and now she can't talk, I'm soooo glad she's still here but I'm used to talking to her everyday too. I miss hearing her voice.

My sister works for ESPN and is in PR for some athletes and just recently had to work at the Espy Awards. She said she worked with Ben Stiller and Keifer Sutherland and they were THE nicest guys...so down to earth and friendly...not weird and stuck up like several other celebrities she has met.
Then there was Matthew McConaughey....she said every other presenter showed up in nice suits, even tuxedos....but not him! She said he walked up to her right before the show for instructions in blue jeans, a denim shirt, sunglasses hanging from his open shirt, and chewing a wad of gum. She said he actually smelled.... I was so sad after hearing that! I was in love with him too....That's why she didn't want to tell me!! She said he acted strange and that she was soooo not impressed.
Who knows? He might just been having a bad day....we all do, right?

My sister has ALWAYS been the lucky one in our family! She has met so many celebs that she has lost count. When she first started in the biz, she said she used to make a fool out of herself. She said the last time she did that was with Joe Montana...who she loved...when he looked at her like she was a complete moron! She was devastated....
She learned her lesson and so the next time she was face to face with a celeb...it was Nicholas Cage and her in an elevator. Just the two of them! She wanted soooo badly to speak to him, but she remembered her embarassment from Joe Montana and so she didn't say one word!!!
Now she is around so many she is used to it! Her area of expertise is the XGames. She is the PR manager for the athletes in the XGames...my boys just got autographed skateboard decks from Shawn White! They were psyched!!!!
Matthew showing up in jeans and a jean shirt would not turn me off girl! If anything, that would be a turn on... I do have a thing for bad boys though! I'm not sure if you're a fan of all ballroom dancing or just this show, but I have a question. Have you ever seen Strictly Ballroom? (Directed by Baz Luhrmann) It is one of my favorite movies. I've always wanted to learn ballroom dancing. That will probably be my next hobby.

My avatar is a picture that a friend took while she was in England. I've never been and while I was looking through her photos she stopped at some big park that was filled with flowers, all varieties and colors. This is my favorite flower and its sooo cute with the bumblebee on it.
