I believe you can. I would think maybe a extra dab of icing to make sure it attaches. I have only done colorflow in course 2. I never really placed them on top of cake. But I attached my pieces to the side with a dab of icing. And I made fences and pushed them standing up in the top but not laying on the top. I hope this helps.

Sure put it right on the cake with some buttercream to stick them down. In my cakes there is a ocean theme cake where the fish are all color flow.
Good luck

If you're using buttercream on your cake, wait as long as you can before putting the colorflow pieces on. I've only used colorflow once, and I let the pieces sit on the cake overnight - bad idea because they started to decompose where they met the buttercream. I would stick them on with just a little bit of BC "glue".

i have i put color flow letters onto a pastry pride cover cake (non dairy topping) and the got complelty soft, they held there shape, but they were easily cut with the cake so if yor not going to keep the design (some poeple do) you can probly put it directly on. some people i heard put sugar cubes underneath for added protection. i hope this helped

can color flow be put on an iced cake without it melting. I was going to put a little icing on the back of it to keep it in place

You can also use mini marshmallows instead of the sugar cubes.
