Ok, so maybe I didn't share my idea with them, but there goes a great money maker I dreamed up...icon_sad.gif

My town needs an indoor play centre for kids (especially to host kids birthday parties). I thought I could incorporate my cake decorating by offering cakes and catering of party foods (platters, maybe pizza). I picked up the paper today and noticed a new business hiring - ahhh - its a party place for kids (not sure about the cake part though!)

Just wanted to vent, I was mad, although I was nowhere near starting this - just a dream!! icon_rolleyes.gif

Ok... Not really a problem!
Why don't you contact them? They may not have organised the cake part yet!
Not everyone is multi-talented (after all, how many Indydebi's do you know? icon_wink.gif )
Perhaps you can get a contract doing the cakes?
Most places I know of (in Sydney, Australia) expect the client to provide a cake - this could be an opportunity just waiting for you!

Good Luck - I'll keep fingers crossed!

Thanks OzCookie, I thought of that and was just thinking of getting some stuff together! I was trying to come up with something since I am in the process of looking for a commercial kitchen anyways, maybe I could use theirs for other cakes as well - this may be a great opportunity, I will keep you posted.

Mama always says Early bird gets the worm. In a business mag my dad reads it says that birthday party castles and places for kids to cook are fast growing businesses.

That true Cakenutz... it is a growing business.

But, not all is lost - become their cake lady - exclusively. That way you can see what their volume is before you jump in with both feet. Kinda learn from their successes and failures.

Who knows, it may prove to be an opportunity.
