I am NOT a liscensed business, I just wanted to get that out there.
I have come up with a lot of great pie recipes, and I want to get the word out that I'm making pies and cakes. I was hoping that I would have gotten some holiday orders in by now, but sadly haven't.
Does anyone have some sugestions? I don't want to set myself up for any fines either! (I don't know how the laws are about it)

I go entirely by word-of-mouth referrals. To get the orders, you usually have to put in the work/time..eg. build a name for yourself and hope that your friends and family will pass your name along!
It doesn't hurt to get catchy business cards that you can pass around (carefully, and with discretion, so they don't get into the wrong hands).
Good luck! I bet next year, you will have more orders than you know what to do with...it always starts kind of slow until you have a reputation!
