Not cake related, but cooking related - What kind of blender do you have and do you like it? I am so sick of my cheap grocery store blender & am looking at the KA 5 speed blender in the JC Penney Cooks catalog. It's on sale for $99, has a 56 oz. jar & 650 watts. I don't use my blender that often, but I hate that whenever I make milkshakes I have to constantly stop it and stir the ice cream with a spoon so it can get moving again.

Opinions, anyone?

Thanks,
Lisa

I agree a KA is great I have a blender I got from Bed, Bath, and Beyond cant think of the name but they have some great blenders there and mine works great and they always have the 20% of and I am almost positive that they have the KA blender there.

That's pretty much what I was thinking about a KA too - can't go wrong with it. I do have a 20% off coupon for JC Penney's where this model is on sale, so it'll "only" be $80. The coupon is only good on Dec. 3rd, so that will be my early Christmas present!

I have a KA and an Oster and love them both. The Oster is the oldest, 25, and still going strong. The KA is great because it has a deeper bowl especially if you are going to use it for milkshakes.

If you want the best of the best- get a vita-mix. I bought two on ebay for under $100 each. It took awhile of lurking and bidding but it was worth it. I'll never need to buy another blender in this lifetime.
