I often share my cake pictures with a group of women that I met online when I was pregnant with my first child 5 years ago. We've bonded and have become such good friends across the miles.... so they're very supportive of my new talent and have offered me alot of praise for the cakes I've done so far. There are other women there that are in to cake decorating too. A couple of the ladies got together to make their daughter a cake and they used one of my cakes as inspiration. They sent me a picture last night and while it's slightly different than mine, they used almost every little detail. Ha ha, I just felt so good... I'm used to being the one browsing for pictures that will inspire me, and to have had someone be inspired by mine and actually copy it... almost to a tea.... I loved it. Some of you AWESOME decorators must LOVE that feeling.

Geesh, I never even thought about people being peeved over somone using their cake as inspiration. It's the ultimate compliment. I guess some people don't like it...
