I Need A Good Royal Icing!!

I need a good royal icing recipe. I've had so much trouble with the wilton recipe, I can barely get it through the bag!! At this point I hate royal icing. Can anyone help!!

i've never had a problem with the wilton recipe, i do find that i need to add an extra tablespoon of water for the right consistency. i think the recipe calls for 5 and i put in 6. unfortunately, i don't have a different recipe for you.

If the problem is that the icing is too stiff, why not just add more water? (I usually use the Wilton recipe, with added water as needed, to make the stiffness I want.)

Just use one egg white for every 6 ounces of icing sugar and you can't go far wrong. It never fails for me and it's as easy as pie to make - just add a couple of drops of water if it is too stiff. No other ingredients needed.

Yep, all you need to do is add a few drops of water to thin it out.
