We have a family reunion in a few weeks time, and I promised to bring cake. Now I want to do something different so I need some inspiration.
The cake needs to feed about 80.

We are not a very close family, so I dont have pics of a lot of them. I dont want to put pics of some and not of others, it might just cause a problem icon_biggrin.gif

Hope someone can help!

depending on how large the family is, you could do a family tree cake... if you search for "family tree" in the galleries, it comes up with some nice ones that are pretty workable for a larger sheet cake.

Does everyone still live in South Africa? If not, you can make a map cake, and have lines going from where they now live to Johannesburg, with mileage markers along them. Maybe some little planes and suitcases.

Hi riana

I just looked in your photos and i like your modern wedding cake, maybe you could do something like that.

Maybe a garden theme and a big letter of your familys surname.

For a family tree, I would need a cake the size of a football field tho LOL, there will be 80 pple over 12 and thats just one tiny part of the family icon_biggrin.gificon_biggrin.gif Television arrived late here it seems icon_biggrin.gif

I liked the idea someone posted above of the map showing where everyone has gone. Another thought is that instead of pictures of people who will be at the reunion, why not use pictures of your common ancestors?
