Hi
my friend's daughter wants a barbie princess cake, i am going to do princess anneleise from princess and the pauper. On the sleeves and detail around the waist of the bodice is fine lace with gold piping. Any ideas how i do the lace in such small detail?
I loooked at the lace cutters but they are not appropriate for this as it is a small area. icon_confused.gif

You might try using a #1 tip and pipe the detail onto wax or parchment paper. Then curve the paper in the shape that the lace needs to be. That way when the RI dries, you can just use a little more RI to attach the hardened piece of 'lace' to the bodice. Does that make sense? I'm not very good at explaining things.

I've finally broke down & purchased the doll wonder-mold and am a little chicken to try it still... I'd like to do the lace and the fine silk-look with fondant that is in the Popular Photos here on CC.

Will let you know once completed, or not as the case maybe!!
I was going to purchase the mold but going to use Lindy Smith's pattern instead.
