Here is the cake I've asked alot of questions about recently. It just went too smooth! I'm usually my worst critic, but I'm so proud of this! There's alot of firsts in here! The flowers are plum color, but my camera makes it look blue. icon_confused.gif

Very pretty! Some of you asked about the sparkles... and I don't know what technique was used here... but, the technique I have seen used is clear decorators gel brush over the entire surface of the icing... and then a very course grained sugar kind of crusted all over it.

I think its a very beautiful cake as well. Very elegant. Are the sparkly things coarse sanding sugar or edible glitter?
