Hi,

I have made a pumpkin spice cake that I'm making for a surprise bridal shower cake for mom's co-worker. The cake design will be a two tier cake with white buttercream and cornelli lace work. They wanted a bridal look for the cake. But they wanted a fall like cake inside...so I opted for pumpkin spice cake. What is a good filling for a pumpkin spice cake? I was thinking cream cheese filling, but not sure which one.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

I really like these:

Both are very light and not overly sweet.

With the whipped cream frosting, I found that 1/2 cup sugar was just the right sweetness level for me.
