Next week I have the opportunity to present my cakes at a Mom's Club business mixer. The theme is Birthday parties. My friend, who is a member in the club, asked me to bring samples and brochures to it.

I was thinking of cupcakes with a filling in it - a few different flavor combinations: Triple Chocolate Cake some with Chocolate Mousse filling & Hot Fudge icing and some with Peanut Butter Filling & Icing, Carrot Cake with Almond Cream Cheese Icing, and Lemon Cake with Fresh Lemon Icing.

Do I just "squirt" the filling into the middle of the baked cupcakes before I ice them or is there another way to do it.

I was thinking of setting up my Wilton cupcake stand and having my portfolio sitting out with a stack of brochures beside it.

Any other opinions?

That's how I do it. Just insert a long tip and gently squeeze until it starts to buldge slightly.

Can I come to that Mom's Club mixer? Those flavors sound wonderfully yummy!!! I've never filled cupcakes before but love the idea. Just a thought, it being a Mom's Club event (I belong to one in my area) you might want to consider a plain white or yellow cupcake too with BC for the kids. Your potential client might be for lots of kids B-Day parties (I'm sure you know).

Good Luck!

I did something similar here. Those flavors sounds so good!
I also made mini cupcakes for the kids. I just did white/chocolate with bc and sprinkles. Good luck, I hope you get lots of orders from it!
