CC was around!!!! I have learnt so much on here and from all of you. Before I would be scouring cake books trying to find ideas and solutions and it didn't always happen - now I can come on here and usually get a result.
But how did we cope before..... icon_surprised.gif

cheers
jan

I have to agree that CC has added a huge amount of pleasure to my decorating. I look back and wonder how I did anything without fondant. I probably would never have tried (again) to make and use fondant if I hadn't come across CC. Gotta love this place and all the wonderful people.

I actually would have had a cleaner house! But now cake supplies everywhere!
I took Wilton I & II, but III was offered now and with other projects, turkey day coming up, etc. I couldn't take it. But I wasn't sad about it because #1 I can always take it after the holidays, and #2 If I have any questions, you all are here always, 24/7, rain or shine (I'm in Michigan so I'll throw in 'snow' also to that!).
Thanks everyone!
Happy Thanksgiving!!!!

Before CC ummmm I normally spent my entire day sitting on the wilton forums waiting for my posts to be approved to receive the help I needed. Now I don't go to their forums anymore unless it's for something that isn't here which is very VERY rare. I still visit their website for ideas and project pictures and stuff but I don't use their forums anymore. As stated in another post, CC is basically my life lol I get up in the morning get the kids off to school pull the laptop open and come to CC. I sit here ALL day and ALL night literally, refreshing and refreshing waiting to help someone if I can, or asking for help when I need it. I LOVE CC and wouldn't know what to do without it! I love all the wonderful people here and I love that I can come here for any kind and all kinds of ideas on recipes and stuff to do. Like Cake Truffels!!!!!!! OMG what an invention! And all the ideas you wonderful ladies and gentlemen have given me for my christmas goodies.... and my cakes, and everything I do! When me and hubby talk after work he tells me about his day and then it's my turn I used to not have anything to say except I cleaned the dust bunnies out from UNDER the bed today... well now!!! I talk about CC all night! "This happened and then this and then I found this out and then I found out how to do this!!!" lol it's great! I LOVE CC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is how bad I'm addicted to CC....I come into work in the morning and check my email, go into my favorites and bring up CC then read what I can and then minimize and check constantly throughout the day.....LOL....here I sit now posting. And I do the same...talk to my co-workers, husband, family members about CC....all the time!

Hey Vicky - same for me! I took Wilton I & II and now have to wait until Jan to take Course III. I took at look at your pics - love your Noah's Ark cake, but well ... as far as your 'Go Tiger' cake ... I'm so sorry there were no celebrations this year - not !! Yeah CARDS! WORLD CHAMPIONS!! (Take a look at my Course II Final! lol)

I have learned so much from CC. If not for CC I would know nothing about fondant, doweling and so much more. So before CC my cakes were all buttercream, not stacked or tiered and so boring lol.

CindyM, your cake looks great!! I swear by the Viva method although I want to try Melvira's tool also.
As far as the Tigers, well, I say congrats to BOTH teams for keeping our Tigers back in our hearts; work go faster (we had the games on); and for both teams on such a fantastic season!! What a great season!!

Vicky, You're right - congrats to both teams! Yes, I made most of my royal icing flowers for class II while sitting in front of the playoff games on TV! I actually spent time with my cousin, from Lansing, MI during the world series, so a little friendly competition going on there. And just a little FYI - there are a couple Cardinal wives with a passion for cake decorating! Check out www.tracyscakes.com (my instructor) and you might be able to locate the wives of a great first baseman and an awesome catcher!
