My first thought when I saw it was it looks fine. However, when you said it just doesn't look right, on closer inspection I had to agree!
I have never tried a gumpaste shoe before, so I am obviously no expert, but for me, it's the heel part that doesn't look right. On a shoe the heel kind of curves into the sole of the shoe. Not sure if this will help.
Having said that, I hope when I do a shoe, it turns out just as good as this on the third attempt!!!

i personally think it's great, but i do see what you mean about the heel. I've never even had the nerve to attempt one at all so you are already way ahead of me. Hey practice makes perfect. Love your work.
