I am making this cake and can't seem to get the right color. I have used sky blue and royal blue and seem to get more of a brighter blue. I would like a really soft blue. Can anyone help? I have started with very little blue and it becomes pastel green and added more and I get a totally different blue. Does this cake have a purpleish tint to its blue? or is it just me.

Try cornflower blue. It doesn't have that green tint. This cake also looks like it has been brushed with pearl dust. Pearl dust will help mute the blue, too.

delphinium blue also might work, it's kinda like a smoky blue....

hm....the delphinium blue may work...if not...try the conflower blue with just a teeny tiny bit of black to take the brightness out....

(this may also depend on the computers resolution tooicon_smile.gif )
