Tis the season! Any pointers on how to effectively sugar fruit? I think it is beautiful but I have never done it before. I have a fall 60th anniversary cake to be served on thanksgiving and I thought this would be a beautiful touch. Any help would be so appreciated.
Thank you,
Kym

You will need egg whites or meringue powder and granulated sugar.

If the fruit is to be eaten make meringue using powder, otherwise use whipped egg whites.

Dip fruit into meringue then dip or sprinkle sugar onto fruit.

Dry on cooling rack until coating is dry/hard.

corn syrup & sugar works also, paint on the syrup, then sprinkle/dip

also

pam cooking spray (lightly) & sugar (another decorator told about this one, i've never tried it)

I have used the graulated sugar that you can buy in bulk but I really recommend the Wilton Sugar as it does not melt. Jen
