I have heard of that company. I played with the idea of joining the company, but then never pursued it further because I didn't have the money to sign up at the time. I kinda forgot about it until you said something! icon_redface.gif

The information I received from the company was great, it seems like a really good idea. The lady I spoke with said that it started out as mainly teaching basic cake decorating, but since adding candy/pretzels to the list that stuff has become the most popular.

I think it would be fun!

yeah it sounds like it would be fun but the company is still so small and i'm kind of hesitant to take that plunge. the commission isn't very high either...20% and the same for your buying discount. plus the products aren't very exclusive. most of their stuff you can buy at michael's so i don't know how much product would be sold at an average party. i'm hoping that one of the ladies will contact me soon.

Actually I spoke to the recruiter yesterday! I'm waiting for more information. But I think this would really fly in my area and since my state really doesn't allow home baking businesses, this is one way to keep up with my skills and teach others.

soooo, I'm really interested in it. icon_biggrin.gif

I talked to an old friend from the bakery where we both worked last year and she's also very interested. I like the idea that it's a brand new company. And their catalog seems pretty extensive. I think I'm going to give it a shot.

Hi! I am the only Cake 'n Crumbs instructor in Arizona! I did take the plunge back in October. You guys, this is a wonderful opportunity especially since the company is small right now. The start up costs are a little on the high side, as are the business supplies, but once we get as big as Pampered Chef and the like, we will be able to offer our supplies at a much lower rate. Growing pains of a small company. icon_rolleyes.gif
I really believe in this company and am very excited about my own growth potential! It is a fun and unique business, and I know in my area, people are always looking for something new and different to do at a home party.
If anyone wants to know more about it, visit my website (@ the bottom of this message) or send me a PM. I would love to talk to you about it!

Have a "crumby" day! icon_biggrin.gif

I am also an instructor in Wisconsin. I have only been doing it for about three months but I love it. I am not as good as some of the people on this website when it comes to making cakes(I try my best) but I love to make cookies and candy. I thought it was alot of money at first too but took the plunge to see how it goes. If you have any questions let me know.

I CHECKED INTO IT LAST YEAR, I JUST DIDN'T LIKE THE FACT THAT YOU HAD TO DO SO MANY PARTIES A MONTH, I HAVE A TODDLER AND WORK FULL TIME SO IT DIDN'T WORK FOR ME.

Initially, you only have to do 6 parties in 90 days, then to keep active, sell $500 in product every month. That's only about 2 parties a month. If you want to grow your business, then you have to do more, but that is up to you.

I correct myself, that is $500 a quarter until you get downlines, then it is $500 a month.

What is the investment in this? Time? What are consultations like? Is it feasible to sell that much product easily? Tell us more! I'm also in WI with juro, but on the west side.

In the beginning you need to do 6 parties in 90 days but then you just need to make a quartly quota so you can do as may parties as you want.
I think the parties are really fun because everyone gets to make something to eat and either eat it there or take it home with them. Zmama if you would like more info pm me and I can give you some.

PSHEWWW! I almost had a heart attack on $500 a month starting out.
Thanks for the clarification. I am seriously considering this after the holidays.

Cool, let me or juro1234 know when you are ready! That $500 is product sales, not comission, and it is actually easier than you think. The minimum quota for each party is 5 sales and $150, which means those 5 have to spend at least $30, which is very easy to do. Our catalog has something for everybody. I sold $300+ at my business launch party which was attended by my personal friends and family who really aren't into decorating and food like I am. All you have to do is be excited and knowlegeable, it is contagious!

The Start-up kit is $270 which is about 40% off retail and includes business supplies and enough tools to teach a candy, cookie, and cake class for 10 people. It can be paid in 3 installments, too.
