Ideas For Holiday(S) Scored Sheet Cakes
Decorating By MicheleH Updated 15 Nov 2006 , 2:16am by NEWTODECORATING
I need some ideas, running dry! I will be doing several sheet cake orders for the holidays that call for each piece scored with something on it. I can't think of anything creative. Will be using Buttercream only, please! Thanks! Either Thanksgiving or Winter themes are great!
Here's what I've done on petit fours before all with buttercream...they may be of help to you
pumpkins (for thanksgiving)
snowflakes, christmas trees, wreaths, candles
snowmen, stars, ornaments, holly leaves, poinsettas, gingerbread men, presents
Hope that helps

Also, a few leaves and holly berries, or wreath would be charming for Xmas. Or stocking or ornament.....
For Thanksgiving, I can only envision small pumpkins or cornucopias and autumn leaves....
I just tried MMF:

It was VERY easy and tasty.

However,
That is hilarious! The link that you sent me was of a cake that I did last year! Too funny!
MicheleH,
Well, I hope you're flattered!
I thought it was very well done and just what you were looking for.
I have done some with molded candy in each square. That is great because they can be done well in advance and when you are ready just sit them in each square, and your done.
