Kahlua Bavarian cream and the cake covered with Sarah Bernhardt chocolate glaze rather than icing. Or a coffee buttercream, hazlenut or raspberry buttercream would all be delicious for fillings.

I just recently tried the cookies-n-cream recipe from here on CC and I'm hooked!

the whimsicalbakehouse has great and easy recipes on mousses. I tried chocolate hazelnut mousse and it's so good.
2cups heavy cream
4tbs confectioners sugar
1/2 tbs vanilla

mix on high speed until stiff
soften by heating for 10 or 20 sec in microwave
1/2 cup nutella
gently fold in whip cream

enjoy icon_wink.gif

the WBH Bailey's Irish Cream mousse is outstanding, too! I believe it's the same recipe as above except instead of the nutella, you add 1/4 cup of Bailey's Irish Cream. Mmm, mmm.

I have a few.

I love Bavarian cream. I also love chocolate mouse when you want to stay all chocolate. I also love chocolate ganache with a thin layer of raspberry on top of it.

chocolate ganache with a thin layer of raspberry . . .oh, yum. That sounds amazing. Do you pour the ganache on or whip it?

Alright!! Enough is enough! I need to stop reading this post as I am 3 months pregnant and look like I am due in a week! No problems with morning sickness here...at least nothing a slice of cake and a cup of decaf won't cure! icon_razz.gif

Junecakes . . . congrats on the baby! You certainly can't be blamed for being sure that your little one gets exposed to all the yummy sweets from the start! You've read all of the studies about how much a baby in utero absorbs, right??? You're just insuring that your little one has discriminating tastes from the start.

Thanks ckkerber! This child will definitely have a sweet tooth. Funny how on #3 ya don't watch what you eat as closely! Actually, I am eating very healthy food just a lot of it....plus the cake but that doesn't count if it is extra icon_lol.gif
