I just called and spoke to someone in customer service with Wilton. She told me that this is not a recent recall, that it was announced back in April.

Yeah, I remember that. I don't think there is anything "wrong" with them, it just had some ingredients that werent listed, like dairy or something. So if you have allergies to whatever it was not listed, then it could be a problem.

Yaknow, if I was eating chocolate, I'd assume that it had milk in it . . .

I've been meaning to see if a product called "Candy Melts" even has chocolate in it! Does anybody know?

Thanks for the info! icon_eek.gif I've already used tons of the stuff! I hope that as long as the persons who are consuming the candy are not allergic to milk &/or milk by-products, it shouldn't be a problem. icon_confused.gif I haven't had any reports of problems. I would think though, if someone knew they were allergic, they wouldn't eat it. icon_rolleyes.gif That's what I get for thinkin'! icon_redface.gificon_lol.gif Seriously, I really do wish they would let us know just exactly what problems to look for, etc. Thanks again charmed, for this very important thread.

It isn't real chocolate because it doesn't have enough/any cocoa butter in it. I called back in April on it and the only way they wanted it sent back was if someone in your house had an allergy and I think for buisnesses as well (I'm not clear on that since I'm not one).

I never looked on the package before because I would assume that there was at least a little dairy in the candy.
