Which is better to use for a "fake cake", a styrofoam dummy or a foam dummy?

I always use styrofoam. I bought a foam dummy set 2 years ago and still haven't used it. It looks like it would squish around when you try to ice it!

I always use styrofoam. I would think that the foam would mildrew inside?
