this was an ego booster since my last couple of cakes have notbeen all i had dreamed. my son saw it and complained that i did not do the army men right. i called him ungrateful under mybreath and went on..lol
That cake is so cool! My son would love it too. You should be proud you did great!
I love it! I think any young boy would like this. Can you tell me what colors you used to get the sand and green colors?
the green i made with chocolate buttercream and leaf green wilton gel. the sand was white buttercream and the wilton brown gel.
oh yeah, and there is brown sugar on the road for the 'sand' effect ![]()
HI treys girl, The cake looks great!!!! You should be proud!
I was wondering what sized pans you used to create this, I think it could also be dubbed as maybe a castle set up as well as "Jack and Jill... went up the hill" type lol... could be dubbed as a lotta different set ups and I was just wondering if you'd share which pans you used to create this beautiful masterpiece ![]()
the botton is a 13x15*i think* half sheet, single layer, but torted and filled. the top is a single layer 8 inch round, and i over filled. then i carved the road into it, and shaped the sides. a lady that i showed it to loved it and wants one liek it for her son, but a dinosaur. so im going to make the round part a volcano..i think it will look cool!
**dl5crew** i had to do 2 boys before i got my girl!! lol
Fantastic looking cake!! You did a great job!! ![]()
