Freezing A Cake.... Need A Quick Answer

I don't have plastic wrap. (dh forgot it). Will it be okay if i just use foil.....

Should be ok, but if you have wax paper or parchment I'd use that next to the cake, then foil. You could even slit open some plastic storage bags and wrap with that.

Yes, just wrap it up really good.
I don't know what size cake you're doing, but I like to put mine in gallon zip lock bags, get all the air out, then seal it.

Do you have any garbage bags? Might be a little large for your cake, but it should help provide a barrier for freezing.

Don't know what size cake you talking about, but when I make layer cakes, sometimes I freeze first for a few hours unwrapped and then after they are somewhat solid I just wrap in aluminum foil.

My cake instructor taught us to freeze in foil, is that wrong?
I've heard that you shouldn't use garbage bags for food items because the chemicals can leach into the food, they are made differently than food storage bags/wrap.
