does anyone have a recipe for the whipped frosting like they use in grocery stores?

I've heard you can fold in some whipped topping to your buttercream and get a similar icing. Also, Rich's Bettercream, which I believe you can get at Sams? Hopefully, someone else can add to this as well.

Most of the grocery stores around here use Bettercreme for their whipped frosting. GFS sells it.

there are some whipped icings in the recipes section here. i've saved a few into my recipe box. eg. whipped wedding cake icing, whipped icingIII. etc. i haven't tried them though. i have had requests for them but want to try them out before i sell one.

I've tried Whipped Icing III, and it's wonderfully delicate. Added cocoa, and it tasted like French Silk pie. I Use that recipe all the time for my fillings.

Out here we use Pastry Pride Premier or Whip N Top, I prefer the first. Can be found in most cake supply stores, Sams or Smart & Final

MissCathcart.....Does the Whipped topping III need to be refrigerated once filled in the cake?
