Is it possible to make unsalted butter the same as salted butter? When I say same I mean like the taste/consistency, just being able to use it the same as salted butter. Hope that makes since. When I went to the store all they had was unsalted so I had to make do. I hope what I want is possible. I was thinking maybe some amount of popcorn salt? icon_redface.gif

I would just assume you can add a little salt and be fine. Maybe someone else knows more about this and will respond.

I think all the salted butter does is make your icing less sweet. Throw a little salt in your mixing bowl before you start.
