Help, How Do I Transport Ice Cream Cone Cupcakes?

My friend asked me to make those cupcakes that bake in ice cream cones. I am making them to look like microphones for a rock star party. How do I transport them? I can't believe they will stand on their own? Any ideas? I thought about a Starbucks drink carrier but not sure? Any help is appreciated.
I made some microphones for my DD's American Idol birthday. I took a muffin pan and covered it with foil and then put little holes in it so the cones would just sit down inside the muffin pan. Hope this makes sense. I didn't have to travel too far and I only had a dozen.
