I really need some help please! I have a cake to do this Friday and I need a mold of a wine bottle. I don't want it as big as a normal wine bottle, maybe around 7-8 inches. I have a smaller bottle at home that would be perfect. Does anyone know how to make a homemade candy mold? Someone told me to find a bubble bath bottle (wine bottle shaped) and just thoroughly wash/rinse it out and cut in half for the mold...but I'm just concerned that the soap won't fully rinse out. Any suggestions?

i would think this would work great, rinse very well then put in a top rack dish washer would assure all the soap was off of it.

Bubble bath bottle doesn't sound like a good idea to me. I know they make a mold for wine bottles. You might go on the search for it. Or I also know they make stuff you can make your own mold out of. I have never used it but I think Risquebusiness is the one who posted about it. You might check with her.
