Melt choc. almond bark in a microwave or crock pot, as directed on package.

Make peanut butter sandwiches with Ritz crackers (I like to use the crunchy for the nuts, but you can use the plain peanut butter, too)

Dip into the melted almond bark, covering completely. (Tongs work well for this)

Place on a cookie sheet covered with wax paper or parchment paper

Let cool

You can refirgerate to cool more quickly, if you want.

They taste just like Reece's peanut butter candy.

(They can be frozen for the holidays, if made ahead of time.)

Everyone loves them and you will never know they were made with crackers!

Thanks for sharing flowerpot!! I'm going to give them a try! I have a recipe for a Ritz "Mock Apple" pie. You don't use any apples, you use ritz crackers instead and it's sooo good! You would never dream there was crackers in it either.

Yes, I've heard about that pie but never tried it. I bet it's yummy!

Ya know what also is yummy? Dip the ritz in choc bark that has a bit of peppermint flavoring--THIN MINTS! Better than the one the girl scouts made(I think they changed the recipe through the years--used to be better!).

Sometimes I dip the "sandwiches" in orange candy melts and pipe on a jack-o-lantern face for Halloween! These are REALLY cute! Also you can use chocolate peanut butter and dip in WHITE chocolate bark! The possibilities are only limited by your imaginations!

icon_surprised.gificon_smile.gif I remember this recipe from about 20 years ago, when DH and I were first married! icon_surprised.gificon_smile.gif

It's one of the first "Christmas cookies" I ever made for our first Christmas together! icon_smile.gif

Thanks for the great memories... thumbs_up.gif

You can buy the mini ritz bitz sandwiches in bags at the grocery, they're great to dip also for bite-sized treats. Also try the nutter butter sandwich cookies and oreos, in mini size. They fit perfectly in the mini cupcake papers and are just the perfect size, IMO!

I did some last year and piped a royal icing poinsetta on the top to make them festive. They went over really well.

I was looking for something new to try this year. I guess I found another idea. The other one I found was a Peppermint candy. I just melted white almond bark added peppermint extract and crushed peppermint candies. I spread it on cookie sheet to harden then broke up into pieces. MY DH and DS loved them thumbs_up.gif

I use candy molds to make items out of CandyMelts, then add them to the top of a chocolate dipped Oreo. (I used 50th Anniv. mint for one occasion, a Fleur de Lis for a Boy Scout function, and a daisy in a variety of colors just to make the cookie look special.) I'm going to try making NFSC in chocolate and dip these, then add Christmas candies. Lots of choices!
