This is not a cake i did, but i would like to know if anyone knows what kind of icing this looks like? I have been wanting a recipe for icing like this and i do not even know what it is called. I think it might just be chocolate ganache, but can you make it look like this? I have never made ganache. Thanks for all your help

It looks to me like a fudge icing, but you could use ganache to cover the actual cake, but the borders and designs on the sides would need to be done in a stiffer icing. I'm sorry I don't have a recipe for a fudge icing. We use a commercial fudge icing where I work. Have you checked the recpies here on CC? For ganache all you need is twice as much chopped chocolate as cream. Heat the cream to almost boiling, then add the chocolate and stir until smooth. Then pour over your cake. Maybe someone else can help you with a good fudge icing recipe if this bumps for you!
