does anyone have any good suggestions on a good cream cheese icing recipe that isnt see through, not too sweet(maybe some lemon in it?)....

I was looking for a good one as well. I just check the Earlenes' recipe and it calls for Butaban. I do not have that!
Can I change it for something else?
Do I have to get it in order to get it right?
Do they send that fast? I need the cake for thanksgiving!

Does this recipe crust? Or do you have to have shortening in a recipe to make it crust?

this recipe doesnt seem very shelf stable tome, although it may be easier to work with doing cornelli lace icon_smile.gif
is it just plain white sugar or powdered sugar???

I may make a test batch.

I just made the whipped cream frosting that has cream cheese in it...oh man! Its soooo good!!!!!
I made it for my mom's b-day cake this weekend and everyone at their house could NOT stay out of it!!!

Earlene's cream cheese recipe if fine without Butuvan. I used my regular icing flavoring (vanilla, almond, butter) instead. Just go easy on the water amount though because it called for more than I needed when I made it. Just add it until it's mixed together well enough. It crusts well too.
