Has anyone tried these? I saw some strawberry and raspberry at the grocery store and it is labled for cake fillings. It was a little expensive, (compared to the sleeve filling) but if it tasted better I would be willing to try it. I bought the raspberry sleeve filling and I thought it was just OK. It was kind of sticky and just like donut filling. I would use it again, but I wondered if the solo brand was any better. Does it seep into the cake at all? Thanks

Merissa,
I love these fillings, but I have not tried them in cakes. I use them mostly for cookies and pastries. They are significantly thicker, so I would not think they would seep, or need as thick a dam to keep them in between layers. They are very flavorful and nice pieces of fruit in them. The cherry, raspberry, and apricot are my favorite! HTH

Cherry, Raspberry, apricot, and almond-YUMMY! I have only used one in a small cake for family-they are quite expensive (a couple dollars a can and that only fills about a 6" cake). I use them in cookies and pastries as well.

Great thanks! I did end up buying some. While the can is small, I thought maybe I could do a layer of raspberry and a layer of buttercream...to save on filling. Plus this cake will have fondant, so I use less buttercream on the outside. I will try it, thanks for hte advice!
